American commercial lighting company H. E. Williams, Inc. is pleased to announce the acquisition of Platformatics, Inc., a US-based network-based systems provider.
- E. Williams, Inc. is a third-generation family-owned company founded in 1921. Lighting products are widely used in education, healthcare facilities, hotels, corporate and industrial environments.
Platformatics, Inc. aims to transform commercial lighting with innovative hardware and software applications, primarily for the intelligent building IoT industry. The Platformatics solution enhances end user comfort, productivity and security with Power over Ethernet (PoE) connections. At the same time, Power over Ethernet provides a standardized infrastructure for LED lighting, HVAC, security and other building systems.
The acquisition of Platformatics, Inc. will further strengthen Williams’ leadership in the growing low-voltage Ethernet-powered lighting market, while positioning Platformatics to drive innovation in smart buildings.
It is reported that Platformatics, Inc. will continue to operate as an independent division of H.E. Williams, Inc.
